Not only could Naruto drive through the paperwork with his shadow clones (his are the forbidden ones), but could also just bring in more aides to assist in doing the grunt work; that being said, Naruto is so hellbent on protecting his family from greater evils that he withholds the truth from his son... not only is that going to cause friction, it'll greatly hinder Boruto's preparedness to face that horrible truth after he leaves his family to venture on his own.

What boruto doesn't realize is that naruto is dealing with so many thing once just to protect the village, he doesn't even have time to take a break as you can see his clone is pretty much dead exhausted.

But that isn't how his children see the world. It's easy for you to empathize with Naruto, because you're seeing his life from an outside perspective, but bent toward the perspective of Naruto himself, so it's easy to understand.

What you're ignoring is that his children do not have godlike perspective, and cannot see what the parent refuses to tell or show them. Many parents today forget that when they "do what's best for their children." They forget that children are not capable of "seeing the bigger picture."

That's why it's important to communicate while balancing a work-life balance; easier said than done, but Naruto's relationship with Boruto isn't uncommon among hard working parents.
